Ecuador is a country that stretches along the west coast of South America. Ecuador mainly has two large Andean mountain ranges, the Occidental and the Oriental, which cross the country from north to south, forming intermediate valleys, but branches such as the Southeastern (or Central) Range and other small ones like the Napo-Galeras, Cutucú, and Cóndor ranges are also recognized, totaling up to 5 important mountain ranges, in addition to the Coastal Range in the Pacific region. Well known for its diverse landscapes covering the Amazon jungle, the Andean highlands, and the Galapagos Islands with abundant wildlife. On the slopes of the Andes, at an elevation of 2,850 masl with a population of over 18 million to date, capital Quito, currency US dollars, its Spanish colonial center has been preserved intact for a long time, with decorated 16th and 17th-century palaces and religious sites, such as the ornate Church of the Society of Jesus. A country with diverse customs awaits all travelers of the world with its beautiful mountains: Chimborazo 6263 masl, Cotopaxi 5897 masl, and Cayambe 5790 masl.
