Adventure Tourism in the Andes

Mountains and Glaciers of Peru

Discover the most impressive summits of the Andes Range. An essential guide on the altitude and location of the main glaciers for trekking and mountaineering lovers.

The Geography of the Gods

Peru is synonymous with mountains. Seen from the air, Peruvian territory resembles a crumpled paper of infinite colors. The reason for this is the magnificent presence of the Andes Range, which runs like a gigantic spine of rock and snow from north to south, shaping its geography, landscape and the soul of its people.

The best-known mountain ranges are strategically distributed: Blanca and Huayhuash (Ancash), Raura and La Viuda (Lima), Vilcanota and Vilcabamba (Cusco), Chila (Arequipa), Carabaya (Puno) and Pariacaca (Junín).
