Mateo Mountain (5,150 masl)
Mateo Peak (5,150 masl) – Cordillera Blanca – Peru
Nevado Mateo is a very beautiful mountain that is easy to ascend, with a height of 5,120 masl. It is a full-day activity leaving at 3:00 am from the city of Huaraz. With private transport heading north accompanied by a mountain guide, the ascent begins from Punta Olímpica at 4,780 masl. It involves about 2 hours of ascent over rocks to the start of the glacier, followed by another hour to reach the summit. This activity is perfect for starting mountaineering. The mountain is located in the Ulta - Carhuaz ravine in the department of Ancash, within the Huascarán National Park - Cordillera Blanca - Peruvian Andes. This activity is perfect for acclimation before starting mountaineering expeditions in the Andes. The ascent takes between 5 to 6 hours. Return to the city of Huaraz is between 3:00 and 4:00 pm.

Ichic Ulta Mountain (5350 masl)
Small Ulta Ascent (5,350 masl) – Cordillera Blanca Peru
Ichic Ulta is a very panoramic mountain from its summit. To ascend this mountain, the route ranges from easy to difficult depending on the chosen path, with a height of 5350 masl. It is done in a single day, leaving at 1:00 am from the city of Huaraz. With private transport heading north accompanied by a mountain guide, the ascent starts after passing the Punta Olímpica tunnel at 4,780 masl. It involves 2 hours of ascending the moraine among rocks to the start of the glacier, then another 2 to 3 hours to reach the summit. From there, we will have an impressive view of the highest peaks of the Cordillera Blanca (Huascaran South 6768m). This activity is perfect for technical mountaineering preparation. The mountain is within the Huascarán National Park - Cordillera Blanca - Peruvian Andes. The ascent takes between 7 to 8 hours. Return to the city of Huaraz is between 3:00 and 4:00 pm.

Vallunaraju Mountain (5,680 masl)
Day 01. Huaraz – Base Camp – Moraine Camp (4980 masl)
After breakfast at the hotel, we leave Huaraz at 9:00 am heading to base camp at 4250 masl. From here, we start climbing for approximately 3 hours along a steep path until reaching moraine camp at 4,980 masl, where we will have views of the Llaca valley among the beautiful mountains of the Andes – Cordillera Blanca. Dinner and rest to leave early for the summit the next day.
Day 02. Moraine Camp – Vallunaraju Summit 5,680 masl – Huaraz - Hotel
At 2:30 am, after hot drinks, the ascent begins over rock to the start of the glacier, where the climb over snow-covered ice to the summit starts. From here, we will have a wonderful view of the highest mountains of the Cordillera Blanca. After taking photos and videos, we return to moraine camp for a hot soup to recover energy and continue descending to base camp, where the transport waits to return to Huaraz. The day's expedition takes between 10 to 11 hours; we will arrive in Huaraz around 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

Yanapaccha Mountain (5460 masl)
Day 01. Huaraz – Km. 42 – Moraine Camp (4,800 masl)
At 6:00 am, we pick you up at your hotel for a transfer in private transport to Km 42. On the way, we stop for breakfast, then continue passing the Llanganuco lagoons to the Km 42 curve. From here, the ascent to the moraine camp at 5000 meters above sea level begins. The climb lasts approximately 4 hours. From the camp, a phenomenal view of the Peruvian Andes is visible. The Yanapaccha glacier has a technical level of (PD+), perfect for technical mountain courses and climbing its normal AD+ route on the west face, at an altitude of 5460 meters. Its ascent is considered ideal for mountaineering courses due to its technical walls.
Day 02. Moraine Camp – Yanapaccha Summit (5,460 masl)
At 2:00 am, we have a hot drink to start the climb toward the summit of Yanapaccha mountain at 5,460 meters above sea level. From the summit, you can observe the most famous mountains of the Cordillera Blanca: Huascarán North and South, Chopicallqui, Huandoys, Pisco, and Chacraraju. After enjoying the beautiful view of the Andes, we descend to the moraine camp for lunch. Finally, we descend to the Km 42 curve, where the transport awaits to return to the hotel in Huaraz.

We recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure a better price for you. Prices may vary according to the reservation date and the number of people. After we have reached an agreement on the total expedition price for each program we offer, you may book with a 40% deposit of the total agreed sum for the services.
This reservation will cover the following:
- Securing your spot for the scheduled date.
- Making transfer ticket reservations for Lima - Huaraz / Huaraz - Lima.
- Making hotel reservations for the scheduled dates of your arrival in Lima and Huaraz, according to the itinerary.
- Making reservations for guides, assistants, and/or staff for the scheduled date.
The remaining 60% will be paid in Huaraz after you have checked into your hotel. To begin the organization of your expeditions, please contact us for more information.
There are 02 rescue units in Huaraz
- National Police Rescue Squadron, based in the city of Yungay (very close to Huascarán mountain). Phone numbers: 043-493292 / 043-493333. They also have 02 helicopters available.
- Casa de Guías Rescue Unit, based in the city of Huaraz (Parque Ginebra s/n). The rescue cost must be budgeted beforehand, and if a helicopter is required, it will also be necessary to pay for the service in advance. Website: agmp.pe
