Huacachina, the Oasis of America – Peru
We begin the tour with the main tourist spots in the city: Plaza de Armas, wineries and vineyards, the town of Cachiche (famous for the legend of the witches), and the "Oasis of America," the Huacachina lagoon. We have two daily departures: at 9 AM and 3 PM; with a duration of approximately three to four hours, including hotel pickup. Huacachina is located just minutes from Ica, nestled among mythical sand dunes. An idyllic, paradisiacal, and even magical place, it is a water mirror surrounded by palm trees and native species in the heart of the desert. Here you can enjoy an exciting adrenaline adventure, as well as a peaceful day at the resort with boat rides, followed by a return to the Ica hotel.
Paracas National Reserve – Ica Peru
The tour departs from the city of Ica to the port of Paracas. From here, we enter the Ballestas Islands to observe penguins, sea lions, and other birds, as well as The Candelabro. Located north of the Paracas Peninsula and overlooking the sea, it is a geoglyph etched into the sand, consisting of three crosses 128 meters long and 78 meters wide. The Candelabro is engraved in rock, but it is covered with sand most of the time; however, it is never completely erased because the winds remove excess sand from the channels. This geoglyph can be appreciated from the sea, and tours to the Ballestas Islands usually pass in front of this attraction. We then visit the Paracas National Reserve museum, followed by a trip to Red Beach and Cerro Colorado to observe the two bays, as well as Lagunillas Beach. Return to the hotel in Ica.
Nazca Archaeology and Mystery – Ica Peru
The Nazca tour can be done from Ica or with a stay in the city of Nazca itself. The tour takes six hours through important icons of pre-Columbian architecture. Just over two hours by land from Ica are the Nazca Lines, an archaeological complex composed of ancient geoglyphs. The tour is complemented by visits to museums, the Cantalloc Aqueducts, the Paredones Ruins, and the ceramic and gold workshop. There are several tours to visit Nazca, some with short travel itineraries and others for the full day. As you can see, in Ica, archaeology, nature, and gastronomy go hand in hand to offer exciting travel experiences to those who visit us.
