Ancestral Lima

At Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological site built in the 4th century A.D., we will have a panoramic view of this magnificent ceremonial and administrative center considered by the Incas as a sacred village. We will learn about the way of life and rituals of its ancestral inhabitants and the typical pyramidal construction characteristic of the sacred and venerated pre-Hispanic buildings of the Peruvian coast.

Colonial Lima

The Viceroyalty of Peru was the most important in the Spanish Empire, and Lima was its capital. Its Historical Center highlights the architecture and urban layout of that period, in old streets with colonial mansions featuring Moorish-style balconies. Our tour includes the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, and the Plaza Mayor, with its distinctive buildings: Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the Municipal Palace.
We enter the monumental San Francisco Convent, which constitutes the largest display of colonial religious art in America. We appreciate the Choral Room and the Monks' Library, and the Sacristy with its collection of canvases by Zurbarán and Rivera. The Great Courtyard of the Main Cloister, finely decorated with 16th-century Sevillian tiles, its beautiful Moorish arches, and the Underground Crypts, known as the Catacombs, where you will feel the presence of the colonial past.

Contemporary Lima

View of the most traditional residential areas of the capital: El Olivar in San Isidro, Miraflores, and Larco Mar, a distinctive tourist center of modern Lima and a privileged spot to enjoy a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. After our city tour in Lima, we will head to the "Rustica Costa Verde" tourist restaurant where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.
Continuing our excursion, we will visit the traditional and bohemian district of Barranco, featuring its famous Bridge of Sighs.
Continuing our journey, we will appreciate the beaches of the Costa Verde, El Salto del Fraile, the Pantanos de Villa Ecological Reserve, and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

Pachacamac Archaeological Site

Traveling along the Pan-American Highway heading South, we will reach the splendid and extensive archaeological citadel of Pachacamac. Sanctuary of the God Pachacamac, the creator of the universe, a divinity worshipped by ancient Andean peoples. A sacred and ceremonial place from the beginning of the Christian era where thousands of pilgrims arrived to present their offerings and consult the oracle of Pachacamac, who looked into the past, the future, and destiny. It includes pyramidal temples and enclosures built by various pre-Columbian cultures and the Incas. Highlights include the Temple of Pachacamac, the Sun God shrine, and the Palace of the Chosen Women, the Virgins of the Sun. It features a site museum that holds the idol of the god Pachacamac, which could not be seen by the profane; its vision was reserved only for the high priests who guarded and worshipped him as interpreters of the divine oracle. The entire place is considered sacred and part of the mystical axis of the world. After finishing our visit to Pachacamac, we return to the hotel.
